Welcome to Town Hall Theatre! It’s so good to be back!
As of October 2, 2021 and after a lengthy closure due to Covid-19, we have again begun the happy tradition of welcoming the public into our theatre! We want you to feel comfortable when you walk through our doors, whether it be to enjoy a live theatre or concert performance or to attend a meeting in one of our public spaces. The safety and health of our patrons, staff, volunteers and artists is of highest priority. While it is now possible to get back to enjoying live theatre together, Covid-19 safety protocols are still required in order to ensure the saftety and well being of all who enter our building.
Here is an outline of current Covid-19 safety protocols in effect for our venue:
In accordance with the provincial government’s vaccine certificate program, all Town Hall Theatre patrons who are eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine are required to provide proof they have completed a full vaccination regimen of either an approved Health Canada or Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) approved COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to attending a performance.
All visitors, volunteers and staff will be required to wear a mask that fully covers the nose, mouth, and chin at all times during their visit to the theatre. Masks should fit snugly against the face without gaps; cloth masks should have at least two layers of fabric. Neck gaiters and bandanas are not permitted.
While physical distancing is no longer a requirement (Ontario Government Concert Venue guidelines, updated October 7, 2021), measures have been put into place by Town Hall Theatre to keep patrons comfortably distanced throughout their visit to the theatre. When you purchase your tickets, an empty seat will automatically populate on either side of your ‘booking’ to ensure space between your seats and others.
We ask that you use the hand sanitizer provided as you enter the venue. Sanitizer can also be found at designated points throughout the venue.
Enhanced cleaning measures have been put into place before, during and after each performance. Common contact surfaces and washrooms are regularly sanitized by our on-site cleaning team.
For contact tracing purposes, the ticket purchaser will be considered the primary contact for any guests and will be expected to have contact information for each member of their party.
By purchasing a ticket to any performance or event at the Town Hall Theatre, you are agreeing to abide by all of the guidelines listed above without exception. Compliance with these guidelines minimizes the risk of exposure to COVID-19 but cannot eliminate the potential of exposure and you accept any remaining risks. Town Hall Theatre reserves the right to cancel any ticketed event if the rate of community transmission of COVID-19 increases at a rate where the public’s health warrants it.
