A Heartfelt Thank You for an incredible year of 150th Anniversary Celebrations!

Dear Patrons, Friends, and Supporters,

This past year marked an exceptional milestone in Town Hall 1873’s history as we observed our 150th Anniversary with enthusiasm, merriment, and cultural performances. Your significant contributions played a key role in making this occasion memorable. We look forward to fostering an environment that continues to cultivate shared experiences and inclusivity.

From the return and rededication of our beloved bell tower to an enchanting gala evening featuring Leslie Anne Bradley, and a grand finale holiday concert by Irwin Smith and Friends, every moment during our 150th Anniversary festivities embodied the spirit of community that defines Town Hall 1873.

Your presence, enthusiasm, and unwavering support made each event a memorable experience. Whether you attended one performance or joined us for several celebration events, your participation added vitality and helped create an even stronger sense of purpose during our milestone year.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Brocks, Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, Vos Independent Grocers, Dana’s Goldsmithing, Lake Scugog Lumber, and numerous others for their support and service/in-kind donations. Your belief in our vision and generous contributions were instrumental in bringing 150th Anniversary celebrations to life for Town Hall 1873.

Additionally, the Town Hall 1873 Board of Directors would like to express our profound gratitude to ‘The Ron and Nancy Compton Family Foundation’. Their generous and timely donation of $150,000 towards the construction of a fully accessible elevator at Town Hall 1873 establishes a legacy that aligns with our vision of creating a welcoming and accessible space for all who visit our building.

The memories created, connections made, and the shared moments of joy throughout 2023 will forever be cherished in the history of our building. Until the curtain rises again in 2024, we wish you a show-stopping year ahead!

With gratitude,

Town Hall 1873’s 150th Anniversary Committee:
Alissa Smith, Judy Anderson, Liz Auston, Jeanna Smeenk, Joanne Tanti
