Town Hall 1873 Celebrates Successful Completion of Strategic Planning and Rebranding Project

PORT PERRY, Scugog, September 30, 2024:

Town Hall 1873 is proud to announce the successful completion of its recent strategic planning and rebranding project, made possible by a generous investment of $20,471.00 from the Government of Canada’s Community Services Recovery Fund. This initiative has provided the theatre with a renewed vision for the future, ensuring that it continues to be a vital cultural hub for the community.

The project, guided by a strategic planning consultant, focused on developing a plan to improve the theatre’s
operations, enhance communication strategies, and deepen community engagement. A key part of this process was the rebranding of Town Hall 1873, which included an updated logo and website designed to be more accessible and
appealing to a broader audience while honouring our rich history. Enabling us to adapt to changing environments,
expand our programming, and connect with our community in more meaningful ways.

Throughout the project, Town Hall 1873 has also refined its fundraising strategies and strengthened its focus on diverse art forms. These efforts are expected to lead to increased participation, stronger artistic partnerships, and overall growth for the theatre.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support that made this project possible,” added Alissa Smith and Jeanna Smeenk,
project administrators and board members of Town Hall 1873. “This investment not only helped us recover from the
challenges of recent years but also provided a valuable learning opportunity. It allowed us to expand our knowledge in strategic planning and branding, positioned us for a vibrant and sustainable future.”
